Does anybody know what those red fin things are on the wing when viewed from the cockpit?

I don't see the image. Maybe you're talking about a small vertical rectangular image on each wing, if that is the image you're talking about then it's the landing gear visual indicator. It's late 1930's vintage planes you know :wink:

PS You shouln't see them with your landing gear up
