Cheers Mickvet. Just sorting out the update for the spitfire (with a small hurricane fix) which was a lot easier than the hurricane one. It might look a little too fancy close-in but it can be reigned back a bit.

This is a download of the spitfire and hurricane exhaust mod. The pic above was with multi skin disabled so it was not difficult to find a good shot. http://www.mediafire.com/file/sjpjkw84f ... d.zip/file. I think the file for hedges might be treeline.dds or treeline.pcx with dds taking priority if used and blank files making it so they don't show in autogen rogeroger. But there will still be a 2d one in the blendmap unless also removed from there. I might be confusing it though.

Thanks again.

Very nice effect-provides 'used', 'burned' appearance to exhausts.

A small update so that the cliffs texture used in rogeroger's scenery files fits a bit better. http://www.mediafire.com/file/rn5pu1da6 ... f.zip/file

An update of my re-colour of Martyn's terrain textures. It smooths out many areas where joins might sometimes be seen, removes the pylon shadows and I also edited some more fields. Probably overdid the ponds. http://www.mediafire.com/file/u4v8tv51y ... 2.zip/file

I can't see mediafire pics when using Firefox at the moment, maybe just me.

Just offering some small tweaks to the great work of Martin’s textures while not doing too much damage hopefully. Along with the huge amount of input by rogeroger including the tree placements i'm very impressed with how good the game can look, as it should be.

Those enthusiasts of the genre that are unaware of this game are missing out. It has so much going for it compared to the plastic, sterile modern equivalents.

Yes, it’s maybe like a classic car Mickvet. There remains plenty of top quality content from a time of ground-breaking innovation to fire the imagination.

I had to revise an area of grain fields that I introduced based on what they appeared to be, but which looked very blocky http://www.mediafire.com/file/7rg73m3d3 ... s.zip/file. The files in the cockpm16 and imgmap16 folders are optional and just mean that trees and streams will look as they do in my most recent screencaps. I will be looking now to isolate the 2d trees which should make it possible to improve the terrain a little more.

I noticed that the British ships looked relatively dark so I modded the textures slightly and made some changes to their effects file http://www.mediafire.com/file/qw2h2n61k ... d.zip/file. The same shader settings seemed to work well with the aircraft so I updated my aircraft shader mod http://www.mediafire.com/file/t9giz2duu ... 2.zip/file. As before it includes a boost to the reflections element. I think reflections work mainly with clouds so the effect only shows if poor or inclement weather is selected. Unfortunately, there seems to be something in the main program stopping reflections from working in most of the instant action scenarios. But they do seem to work in the historic missions, the basic training landing missions and at least one of the dogfighting missions.

I made a quick mod for the non-multi-skin BF110, adding some darker colours and more saturation to some areas. http://www.mediafire.com/file/555saxc5q ... d.zip/file using a new editing template: http://www.mediafire.com/file/cz78ww844 ... e.zip/file

Hi guys,

Work continues on the second installment of martins trees. I'm currently using a slightly darker and greener version of martins terrain which I'll upload with the trees and object placements in the not too distant future.

no shaders used here.
