Greetings Matey's!

I seem to have an issue whereby some, not all, settings in the GUI side of the sim are not "taking" by which I mean is I click them on, or off, and some simply do not 'stick'. I have reloaded the mouse driver, have regularly executed defrag, registry clean, virus and malware and even reloaded the sim in case of corruption. But I have noticed this issue with my stick profile settings too. As this is a first, never run into before, I am not sure what is the root problem other than my advanced years! LOL Hey Marine if you or Prem are around you might have a trick? Thanks much in advance. Should roll back the sim to a previous version i.e. 2.08?

Digging about, I just found that the GUI set page on Wings of Prey also has issues with a number of non-sticking selections. So The GUI on BOB2 which always worked just fine is an issue now and I duplicated similar sticking issues on Wings of Prey set up page. Must be an issue in my computer I reckon. Box of noodles. I just need to fly!! LOL. Anyone else ever run into this? I recall SeaVee mentioning some Nvidia settings has sticking issues and one had to hit enter several times on certain specific selections.

Hi pappy,

Haven't done any flying, since getting involved with the Corporation of London and the common lands act. I seem to remember, if you are trying to set keyboard controls in the GUI. Then I think you need to save them, for them to stick. If you are setting up your joystick controls they would obviously have to be saved and I suspect, not clashing with any keyboard settings in the GUI. Apart from that I can't really help. I suspect it won't be much before the end of this year that I can get back involved in Bob.

Hi Prem,

Interesting! like records relating to acquisition and subsequent management of Epping Forest and other open spaces by the Corporation of London under the City of London (Open Spaces) Act 1978 or how to graze one's sheep on Brumbley Square near the Toad and Bucket Publik House? LOL.

This is not an important issue. Like Buddye pointed out:

"It is a GUI setting"

Options->Sim->View , Peripheral Vision = OFF

Options->Sim->Game , Aircraft Names = OFF

They do not "stick" if that is the correct word.

I should just pack it up and save for winter fun and games anyway. I just had a chance to fool around a bit on Memorial Day weekend and ran into an issue. Not a big deal. Thanks much anyway and cheers!

I did not see from you note but I suspect you are playing a campaign. When you start a campaign the settings are frozen for that secific campaign and can not be changed so if you change a setting it will be put back as it was when you started the campaign.

To change settings and have then take simply start a new campaign but be sure all the setting are as you want them.

Hi again Pappy,

Concerning the Corporation of London, the only thing they have really acquired is the management of the common land areas, although, they seem to think that they actually own it now. This has been the problem as they are slowly eroding the common access. But this is for other places.

I now understand what you mean about the parts not sticking. I seem to remember the T character on the keyboard. Controlled the aircraft names, possibly with the shift key as well. I wonder if you have something programmed in your joystick which is overriding the keys. It may be worth checking before trying a complete removal and reinstall of Bob, according to Buddye.

Hopefully you get it sorted.
