I'm thinking about running my IO-320 Lean Of Peak or LOP for all continues cruise flights above 5000 feet

For what reason? And why just above 5000ft?

Mainly on long flights for max range and I'm going to probably run LOP only above 5000 say 6000 or 8000 and at all odd altitudes. Plus I'm also running some fuel flow and true airspeed tests to
