Hello Ben,

Rather than a reinstall if you insert your Acceleration or FSX disc you should be given the option to repair. This will repair any issues in your installation.

I tried to repair FSX twice, but that didn't work. I couldn't even start FSX after that. I just removed FSX from my computer and reinstalled it. Do I have to reinstall the aircraft now? I'm very confused on what to do now, because I am back to basic FSX with a few PMDG aircraft and the A2A c172. When I load them, they are just the outlines of the avionics now.

Don't for get to reinstall SP1 & SP2 for FSX or Acceleration which has these service packs with it

As Norforce says don't forget to reinstall the FSX updates and the aircraft.

I had the same problem.

I did the simsolution-reinstall (on page 1 of this topic)
Uninstalled the servicepacks I and II.
Re-installed the servicepacks, and it worked again!
(FSX Gold edition)

After each handling i restarted my PC.
