DARN IT!

I was hoping to trace this back to an ultimate cause. :D

Well, at least when I had the problem it went away and I'm not exactly sure what I did. I think it came from loading the 172 in the same flight after having a different aircraft loaded.

Static ports don't feed the vacuum system. If they did they wouldn't measure static pressure. :)

I also wanted to know if a failed electric gyro instrument was being blamed as evidence of a vacuum failure.

Oh well, all's well that ends well.

It sounds like you have some major sim issues or system issues for the software. Can I ask when you are reinstalling the sim etc, are you making sure to manually delete any and all left overs and making sure to restart the system so you are 100% clean before re-installing?

I'd be guessing its something as simple as remains from previous installs causing the issues or maybe a bit of a screwed up system registry maybe.

thanks,

I have fsxse so all I did was delete the fsxse folder, steam redownloaded it, took almost 3 hours, and it reinstalled. I didnt run a reg cleaner. Also I just uninstalled the plane, without a reg cleaner also, reinstalled, restarted system. It all works fine now. Must have been a damaged file somewhere. Maybe the one Nick referred to.

No worries, the steam verify has helped me in the past. Its not as good as a full reinstall but its just an extra step thats a lot quicker and can often save a full reinstall from being needed 8)

cheers,
