I have recently purchased this and what a great little aeroplane. Best in the hanger yet. I have been a simmer for about 2 years but, believe it or not ,this is my first aircraft payware download. I have read the many forums relating to fsx and the various DX issues and noticed that in the download DX11 was automatically downloaded (I think). Now, I believe that the DX offloads some of the work from the CPU to the GPU (?) and with reading problems from different forums I have not checked the DX10 box in the settings whilst running fsx with no problems.
My question is ,do I need to do anything to the DX box in the settings or do I just let the whole package run. The reason I ask is that the other day the PC froze with a fatal error message for the first time. I lowered the sliders a bit and have flown about another hour with no problems yet(fingers crossed )
Any advice would be welcome.
I run a GT X Ge FORCE 650 with latest driver (9.18.13.116) on a 40 inch Samsung with an i53570k (not O/c) and FSX Gold

Hello,
Direct X is a system component. As an FSX user you don't need to worry about it too much. The installer auto downloads and latest direct X 9 libraries that are required.
Thanks,
Lewis

Re: DX11 and the Cherokee180
I check the DX10 box and find much better performance with DX10 over DX-9. A few add-ons won't work right, but Steve's DX Fixer (google it) solve most of the issues for me. Your mileage may vary.

Hello,
No problem. As Tailspin mentions if interested in using dx10 for the extra eye candy have a research of the freeware dx10 fixes or payware dx10 fixer from Steve.
Thanks,
Lewis
