LOL yeah right... waiting for A2A to make a float kit for the 180 and the 172 hehe. That paint would look good on something like a Bahama's tour plane or a charter from Miami to Bahamas back and forth. They have a really cool set of seaplanes at the Miami Sea Plane base that make these trips everyday several times a day.

I just go with what my customers want and hope to satisfy their eyes. This one passed the test.

Thanks again for all the comments. I enjoy themed paint schemes but they are really tough to do. Thank god for a really good paint kit that allows most everything to line up right. There's a bit of blending you have to do to make ends meet but at least A2A has the best paint kits out there so it makes life a bit grand when you want to do something like this.

All in all when you sit back and really try to picture a paint job on a plane a good artist can get a picture of it before he/she applies the first coat of paint. For this reason is why I paint some of the paints I have. I won't paint something that won't look good. I can usually tell if it's a winner or not before hand.

There's one paint out there that is the only one in the world actually. If you look at my Flickr page look at the F8F Bearcat (Rear Bear) paint job. Now that paint was the toughest one I've ever had to paint. The number 77 on that plane was split up into 9 different parts all scattered on 4 different pallets not to mention the rest of the plane. The second toughest is the Bell 407 paint kit

I hope A2A continues their quality on their paint kits because these really are enjoyable to paint.

Thanks A2A! U DA BEST.

HOLY CRAPOLA! You read my mind Bruce! well sort of. Yeah the deepdiver thinggy just doesn't match up anymore. I mean I got that a long time ago because of the cave diving but now I think something a bit different might be in the market since I enjoy painting so much. How bout it A2A?
How bout some thoughts on names from you guys on here? nice names! lol

Course though I'm kind of tired when I see someone on other sites who claim to take credit for my work speaking only between the lines and keeping a very tight lid on it. At least they could give credit where credit is due and I mean that for any repainter out there so not sure what I'm going to do at the moment. I might not paint another model ever again. That sort of thing just doesn't sit good with me and it's not right.

Alan if somebody else has claimed your work, perhaps this may help.

As you know I was the person who asked you to paint a dolphin theme for me .I am English and my name is Chris hence the G-CRIS. registration.

If you want to put my request PM to you on here please feel free to do so.

Regards and thanks again
Chris

No there's no need for that. Everyone here knows it was a request anyway. A couple of my other repaints were targeted and not the Dolphin paint as of yet anyway.

I mean it's just a common courtesy if your going to post repaints of my work and anyone else work for that matter to just mention a credit of who painted it.

There was a post online where this guy posted pics of my paints in screenshots and then someone else replied and said your repaints are very nice and this guy only says Thank You. Well that's kind of misleading and is very carefully seeking fame between the lines on my dime in a way. At least give credit where credit is due. I mean repainters don't have to paint anything so for myself and others alike who put the work into these repaints it kind of sucks that people act this way.

I mean yeah some people will argue that Oh he didn't say they were his, well you don't have to say it at all but don't spit in my eye and tell me it's raining either. know what I mean?

Anyway...

I'm taking a break and have some well deserved time off coming. Need to think about a few things and make some decisions and think is all this really that important and really worth it.

You just need to cleverly water-mark your work Alan. Man, you are talented enough to do that in a very subtle and still observable manner! By the way, my user name has everything to do with what I used to do for a living (dive) and absolutely nothing to do with my name!
