Garmin 400/Autopilot

Post by piperpilot42 »

Can someone explain to me the sequence when setting up the select/activate approach vectors to final when using the Garmin 400 in the Cherokee 180? I'm able to load and activate a GPS program to an airport but when I get close to the airport after tracking successfully on the magenta line and activate the approach previously entered the a/c seems to have a mind of its own and doesn't lock on to the approach or vectors for final. The white line for vectors and the missed approach appear on the display and the active flight plan details but nothing is activating. Do approach and vectors work in A2A sim's or is it only unique to FSX? Am I activating the approach too soon as well as vectors to final?
