Hi Folks,
With everyone painting the Bo - figured I’d tackle one I’ve had on my mind for a while - wanted the Cherokee in a nice 80’s scheme... This is one of the very few fictional paints I’ve done...
This Cherokee doesn’t have a default chrome spinner like most of other A2A aircraft... Anyone have a good recipe to chrome this dome ? I thought the “propellor†line in the config file did it - the same config file that removes the emblems - doesn’t seem to do it... Figure I need to paint the spinner grey - then address the mirror in the Alpha ? Seems very few Cherokee paints have a chromed spinner...
Any help appreciated...

Scott

Re: Cherokee Chrome Spinner ?
Looks nice! I was wondering why none of the Cherokee repaints have chrome spinners.

Hi,
Yeah kind of wondered the same thing – I think chroming a spinner in real life is illegal – although many people do it anyway – maybe that had something to do with it? Thanks for the comment.

Re: Cherokee Chrome Spinner ?
I don’t think it is. I fly a C182T in real life that has a chromed spinner. Sure it’s not that shiny because no one takes the time to polish it but still...scottb613 wrote:Hi,

Re: Cherokee Chrome Spinner ?
That looks spot on!
My best guess is that the original spinner might be plastic, so it wasn't a stock option because chrome on plastic wears out easily.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for the comments - it’s available over at AvSim if anyone wants it - I’ll add it to the completed Cherokee thread as well...
