Constant clicking sound in cockpit

Post by JerseySeven »

This just began when I loaded my saved scenario. Even while parked, cold and dark, there is a constant 1 per second click that is driving me crazy. Anybody know what is going on? Changing to a different type of aircraft makes the sound disappear, but on switching to any of the cherokee variants the clicking remains. Prepar3D ver 4.

Do you have any axis set to the ventilation and carb heat sliders? I find that when they are at zero, they click constantly until I move the axis very slightly off 0.

Are you using your "saved scenario" as a startup. If so this could be your problem.Always start your simulator with a standard aircraft not a high system aircraft such as any of the A2A aircraft.

Cheers chris

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think any axes are set to ventilation controls. Re: saved scenario. Maybe the culprit, although I never set it as a default. I finally just set up a new scenario using the Cherokee at my departure airport and re-loaded the flight plan. Seems ok now.
