C182T into P3dv2

Post by mylee2 »

I have the 182T installed into P3dv2 and it seems to be working fine. I just can't get GNS-530 or GTN-750 to work. The GTN-750 pop's in the vc, but the screen stays black.
I purchased P3Dv2 before A2A 182T and I like P3D, I want to be sure which way I'm going to go.......P3D or stay with FSX.
Carenado released P3D updates for the cessna 340ll and cessna 337 and they work great. If I decided to stay with P3D then I will update the A2A 182T and GTN-750 to P3dv2.

Hello,

are you using the P3D C182T simulation?

If trying to use the FSX simulation this is against the licensing and is not supported for our aircraft or Flight1's GPS product.

Our P3D line of simulations can be found under the P3D area here;

Hi Lewis

Yes, I tried the FSX 182T addon....did not realize this was illegal! I found out it did not work very well. Some of the functions are not working......kicked it out! If I decide to go with P3d I will purchase the 182T for P3d.

p.s. I own the A2a J3 Cub & A2A Cessna 182T..love them both.

No problem, Flight 1 also license there software for the professional market and you can purchase the P3D GTN add-ons from there professional side of the business.

Also the Reality XP stuff won't work in P3D.

Hi guy's

Carenado C-340ll and C-337 P3D updates work with RealityXP. I'm pretty sure I will move to P3Dv2 and I will have to purchase the 182T and GTN 750!

p.s. J3 Cub for P3D would cool! 8)

C182T into P3dv2

If you have RXP working in P3D you I believe are the only person to do this as the licensing and protection methods prevents this from working on the P3D platform?

Ryan is one of the resident GPS buffs he'll know for sure but that's the impression I was under as a non RXP user.

I downloaded the Carenado C-377 update for P3Dv2, installed it into P3Dv2, it loaded just fine. I used the autoloader RXP-GNS530 in the aircraft folder and it worked just fine. Did I do something wrong again? :(

I've no idea I'm not an RXP user but I didn't think the RXP units worked in P3D.

The thread you have linked too is an old thread from prior to the mindstar integration into the C172, Cherokee etc as that came with the latest update. Also remember RXP is not Mindstar, they are different third party GPS products.

First I've heard of the unit working in P3D. You positive you're not seeing the RXP gauge bezel with stock GPS in P3D? I can understand that the mesh and textures would work but the actual gauge I never could get to work. Either way the F1 GTN is far better and that's what I use in P3D.

Also what do you mean by C337 updates for P3D? AFAIK they didn't do an official P3D update... just a few updates along the way. I have that aircraft - is there a link you can point me to?

Hi ryanbatc

I simply went to the Carenado site, went to my account, went to my purchases and downloaded the P3dv2 updates and downloaded C-340ll and C-337 8)
