new cruise settings

Post by awash2002 »

I'm using the cruise setting that I use on my other N/A aircraft and some of my turbo aircraft. That is full throttle 50 degrees ROP in the 182 I use full throttle 2300rpm 50ROP I get 14.2gph 150ktas at 7,500

Sounds great, I tend to use what I think of as more RW settings: 20in MAP (or less if at high altitude), 2,000rpm, lean to peak. Gives me less speed, but great range and economy. Currently on a long trip at 11,500', full throttle 19in MAP, 2,000rpm, IAS 100kts, fuel burn of 8.3GPH.
