Realistically switching hangar options "in real life"?

Post by CarbonBasedLifeForm »

I like bush flying but also go from paved to paved airports sometimes.

I assume you can't just fly around with fairings in the plane and then put them on at a medium-sized airport, right? It would only be at your home airport?

What about gap seals? Could you realistically change those "on the road"? Or again would that be at your home airport?

Obviously in the game you can switch these things anywhere if your engine is off, but I'm curious about what people do in real life.

You can cart the stuff around with you if the want, but it tends to be a keep them on or off. I know taking the wheel fairings off is good for keeping things clean easier.
