Re: C182 Sounds
Chewit,
Did you re-download the installer and use the P3D V4 version of the installer that has since been made available to you? The P3D V3 installer will not work properly in V4.

Oracle 427.and Lewis
Yes I have used the v4 installer!. I have had No trouble with the Cherokee or Comanche V4 Just the 182 and they have All been installed the same way.
I have also Re-installed the C182 just to make sure it is not me causing the problem I have a few more problems with the 182 apart from sound .i.e Cannot get the AP to turn on Unless I use the Z-key. The aircraft turns in circles and several other bits and dabs and I have tried to run the updater which works in p3dv3 but not 4

Lewis
My updater is as far as I know up to date I downloaded it Last week (Re Oracle and Lewis) It runs fine for P3dV3 but it will not run in P3dV4
I'm now getting fed up with this. Why should it work in 3 with it's own installer and not work in 4 with it's own installer
Question 1.. You keep saying Have people updated to P3d 4.1 Why?. Surely this Aircraft was made to run in P3dv 4.0 as well and Should be working properly???
Regards

Re: C182 Sounds
The reason for the queries about P3D version (4.0 vs 4.1) is due to a change that LM released in v4.1. This affected the steering the the ground and causes the aircraft to spin around out of control.
The V4 installer will work with P3D v4.x
The patch must NOT be applied if running v4.0.
The patch must be applied if you are running v4.1.
From what I have read on other forum posts this recent v4.1 update just overwrites a single file. It doesn't go about scanning for aircraft like the previous updates.
I would check the circuit breakers and maintenance hangar to see if there are any issues with the A2A autopilot. I believe that pressing Z activates the stock sim autopilot behavior, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Z shouldn't be used with the A2A aircraft as I understand things. Is the KAP140 display lit up? Are you pressing and holding the AP button for at least .25 seconds? What is it not doing when you press AP?
I don't know how to best debug the sound issue, so I'll leave that to the knowledgeable folks.
I lifted this question from a post made by NickM:
"When you first run P3D, you should be prompted as to whether you wish to "enable add-on: A2A?" Do you recall seeing that message?" Is it possible you may not have accepted this add-on and given it the proper privilege to run in the simulator?
I believe the dll.xml is a file that can be checked to see if this is the case, but I don't know if it is the same file in P3D.

Re: C182 Sounds
Yes, Lockheed introduced a large change for 4.1 which is why its important to keep up to date with the P3D development cycle as unlike FSX it is always changing.
thanks,
Lewis
