Lost Sounds in VC

Post by DocSnyder »

Hi Hi everyone.
I have a problem. a few minutes after i started the 182 i lost the engine sound and the sound of the buttons and switches. inside I can hear the wind and outside the sound of the engine. I have tried everything logical to test but I come to no result.
I need some help..!

Hi Doc - welcome to the forums.

A couple of thing to check...

1. There's a volume control for the internal (Accu-Sim) sounds at the bottom left of the shift 3 menu. Maybe worth checking you haven't inadvertently altered that.

2. The Accu-Sim sounds play through your default Windows audio device, so please make sure this is plugged-in and turned-up. This may be different to the device that you've assigned to sounds in the host sim.

If you can tell us a bit more about your audio setup and which host sim you use, it'll be easier to provide help.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

I checked this. The Volume Control is up to 95%.
I have two options. under Options/settings/tone i have the Logitech THX speakers and the standart. i tested both. it feels like good will of the 182 to work or not.
Now, 8 minutes after starting the sim i lost the sound.
After i switch on the batteries, i can hear the gyro sound and the external sound, but no engines, switches an knobs.
And, maybe off topic, but the doors close independently right after i open it.

I use the FSX the most.
When i look into my Sound Devices i see the Logitech THX System and the Realtek Digital Output.

Regards
Chris

Hi Doc.
The doors closing right after you open them is easy , its a know FSX fault , its caused by being to close to a refuel truck or refuel point , move aircraft away from these and that will fix that problem.

Hello,

the Accu-sim sounds will play through your system default sound device. You will want to make sure this is set correctly and the device itself is turned on.

thanks,
Lewis

Sorry I think you mis-understand. Your windows default sound device should be checked. This can be for example set to some speaker system that is not in use as the user is using headphones as its own sound device. This is why we ask users to check there windows sound settings to make sure it is configured correctly.

This is an interesting comment. Please can you confirm if the internal cockpit sounds play normally when you first start the sim, but then stop playing after a while?

Thanks,
Nick

I have had the exact same issue with ALL A2A aircraft inside P3D v4.2
Sounds work from external view, absolutely nothing in VC
