Cessna 182 Skylane no steering

Post by Giacomo »

Hi folks,

I,ve got a problem with my steering on Cessna 182. This is a brandnew PC with only p3d v4.2.21.24048 on. it. I followed the instructions given in other threads about the fix. I installed this fix but no steering for my plane.
Hangar says my Cessna is brandnew with no faults.
Whats the solution for this :)

Thanks, Frank

Hey Frank,

Just going to paste in Nicks last response from other thread as knowing what P3D version you are on would be first thing to check;
Frank,

You can check the installed Prepar3D version number as shown here and here.

Cheers,
Nick
cheers,

Ok great, and you have run the latest Accu-sim updater?

And have double checked your sims mapping of the controls and in P3D its input mode under settings.

thanks,

Yes, I installed this one (A2A_Update_10_12_17.zip) like in other posts said.
I checked the settings for axis assignments twice. All other planes, included Aerosoft CRJ, Majestics Dash and RealAir Turbo Duke are fine witch the steering.
Is there a assignment only for the C182?

I have never had Problems with a huge number of a2a planes like this in FSX.

I am totally confused :)

Can you describe the exact issue you are having with as much detail as possible, is it just steering on the ground and what happens exactly. What controls are you using, any third party apps etc and have you tried changing the input mode in P3D?

thanks,

Let's try. I hope my english is not sooo bad.

I'am using the Logitech ProFlight Yoke with corresponding ProFlight Pedals. Normally there are 4 Saitek Panels in use, but not now. Mounted together in an Aerosoft Cockpit. Works on all other planes.

My exact problem is, the steering is not in function. The nosewheel doesn't turn. So I can't taxi :-) Rudder is okay, aileron is okay, flaps also. But on ground the plane goes straight ahead.

Hello,

how are you mapping your controls?

Have you tried the different input mode in P3D?

thanks,

Hey,
i believe I am also having the same problem with the C182 i just bought for P3Dv4.2. I have no nose wheel steering. I have ran the A2A updater and no fix. The controls i am using are the Logitech G940 Flight System and my rudder pedals are mapped to the rudder which should control steering in this aircraft. The rudder pedals i have are apart of my flight controls. The only way i can steer this plane is with differential braking. I believe the latest version of P3Dv4 changed something that is not allowing this aircraft to work properly. i have also noticed that when the aircraft starts to move and i use my rudder pedals to to turn the nose wheel, it will begin to turn but then it straightens back out agian. This is the only aircraft in my sim that has this issue.

Hello Lewis,

Today I proceed a new installation of win 7 prof. Installed also P3D and my cessna included the Patch.
No joystick attached or anything else. I have untouched the standard mapping from P3D.

Loaded the Cessna and no wheel steering controled by keyboard, as above rudder, aileron and flaps okay.

Any Idea ?

Thanks, Frank

Hello,

if you can start a new thread that would be great so we can help but I would think its a mapping issue as you mention the controls centre themselves.

thanks,

Hey Frank,

did you download the latest update or are you using an older one you downloaded?

Also can you try using stick or rudder pedals?

thanks,

Hey Lewis,

I downloaded the latest Version from Lockheed Martin. This is V4.2.21.24048 but this Version I had installed before new installation.
I added now an Thrustmaster Flightstick X. P3D mapped again automaticly and there is no nose wheel steering.

Hello lewis,

there is no difference between raw and direct input.
I thank you for your patience and your help, but i think its better to relaunch my fsx. There is all i need and more of your awsome planes which are fully functional.
I will wait for a major update of p3d or a2a planes before spending hundreds of euros again.

See you in clear skies.

Thanks,
Frank
