Hey Ramon,

In terms of hardware, it's what you're using as flight controllers which may be significant here. For example, what sort of joystick, rudder pedals etc?

Sorry for my English.
No need to apologise. :) But you may need to check that different devices plugged into your computer aren't sending conflicting inputs to Prepar3D.

You should also do the same kind of basic checks in the simulator that you'd do in real life. Move your controller(s) such as yoke and rudder pedals through their full range and check for free and full movement of the corresponding control surfaces. (i.e. check that ailerons, elevator and rudder move in the correct direction and return to centre when the controls are released.)

Thanks,
Nick

Yes P3D is a different sim so you will need to go through its controls. As you say things are well in FSX so its pointing to a hardware issue in P3D or mis-mapping etc.

Hello to both of you.
First of all I just realise now that there was a second page !
My joystick is a Mad Cats with two throttle axis.
I went to the calibration process and I notice that when I move the y axis up and down, the x axis is also slightly affected. This one goes a few to the left!?
I can only observe it; I have no controls to it.
Do you think I should buy another joystick and if yes which one?

Hello ramour,

No worries on missing the second page.

With it working fine in FSX and not P3D I am sure the stick is fine, and would advise against purchasing a new one. I imagine its just that its not setup correctly maybe in P3D itself. Can you try adding some deadzone/null zone into the stick?

Also worth experimenting with controls in P3D settings > Controls > Other; Input method.

Theirs two choices, RAW INPUT and DIRECT INPUT. Try giving one of these a go and see what happens.

I am moving the thread to tech support so it gets a little more attention on my and Nick's radar, as the tech support forums take priority over the other general community areas.

thanks,
Lewis

Hello Lewis
I tried what you suggested but no positive results!
Do you know other customers having experienced the same problem?
Until this is fixed I went back to my PMDG and with this one I could
take off from Gatwick and land in Schiphol with the applause
of the passengers. Ah, ah !!
Apparently it is easyer to fly a Boeing instead of a Cessna.
Have a nice day
RR

How are you loading the flight into P3D?

And just to double check all is ok during your pre-flight walkaround and the aircraft is fit for flight?

I effectively checked all the effects of the joystick on the control of the aircraft. Visually, everything seemed to react normally!
If you want I can try to make a video of the take off and add it here in the discussion?

Yes, that would probably help in identifying the problem RR. :)

Hello RR,

To share files such as videos and images, you can upload them to a free file hosting service such as Dropbox and post a link in the forum.

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks RR - please can you change the sharing settings for the file in Dropbox so that anyone with the link is able to view it.

Cheers,
Nick
