Hi, has anyone had any issues with the speed of the trim wheel when using the mouse wheel?
I have converted a mouse and created my own trim wheel and have ticked the box in FSUIPC to Mouse wheel: Trim.
The issue is that the speed of the trim wheel is so slow it takes around 50 turns to go from full nose down to full nose up.
I see that there is a work around when using buttons (video by Frooglesim) but currently there is no work around (that I can find) for this.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards and TIA

Hello,
how are you mapping, you could use the included aircraft input config program for the custom mapping designed with the aircraft.
thanks,
Lewis - A2A

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately that won't work as the included app does not allow for use of the mouse wheel as the trim wheel

Re: Mousewheel as trim wheel
Hi Craig,
I'm afraid this option in FSUIPC isn't really going to work with A2A aircraft like the 182. This is partly because you'll need to use the mouse wheel to rotate some of the avionics dials. The Input Configurator does give you the option to assign elevator trim to a hardware axis though.
Thanks,
Nick

Yeah that's the problem.
The trim wheel has been designed to work with the mouse. It's now fitted into the cockpit. It's a shame something can't be done

We also don't need to rotate anything as the whole cockpit has been made as per the real thing. Everything is tactile
