Hi,

Cessna 182, nose wheel is spring loaded and steers better when applying differential braking, like in Cessna 172.

Hi Charlie,

I think Lewis was just enquiring whether you purchased from A2A's own website, and if so if you've migrated your account to download new installers for P3Dv4. More information on the current update process can be seen here. Additionally, I gather Lewis has begun distributing the new installers to third-party stores.

In short, the new installers already contain the fix for the ground steering issue introduced by Lockheed Martin with P3Dv4.1. However, the existing Accu-Sim update is available here for anyone unable to download the new installers at this time.

Thanks,
Nick

Hello Nick,

Thank you for the info, whilst on the forum for the Skylane C182, I happened upon an update for A2A A/C which was a link provided to another user, I installed it and BINGO my steering on the C182 & Comanche 250 were restored to normal (how I previously found them to operate in FSX SE)

I was considering getting the A2A Cherokee 180, am I likely to have the Steering issue with that a/c ?

As always Nick thank you for your advice.

Hello Charlie,

yes but as noted it all depends on the first question ive asked.

If you are using the now old installers you'll need to run the accu-sim updater, if you are running the new installer's these get updated at the point of install + come with there own updater program.

thanks,
Lewis

Hi Lewis,

Well as I said in my mail reply to Nick, I forum an A2A Update link that was posted on the forum, I opened the link and installed it and the issue I had disappeared on both A2A A/C I have currently, was that just a coincidence?.

I am thinking that that may make it OK when I purchase the Cherokee 180 which I may do any time now, will that install OK I will obtain /down load from your web site (A2A) not a 3rd party?

sorry if I AM BEING A BIT "THICK"

Hello Charlie,

it would totally depend on which installer you use.

The Accu-sim update is pinned to the top of every forum here for updating but the latest installers for P3Dv4 have been released and do not need this.

Hi Lewis /Nick,

Do I need to reregister for the new store? I see it is recommended to un-install all existing A2A Aircraft, I assume I need to get my licence keys etc prior to re-registering?

Thanks

Hi Charlie,

Yep, just follow the advice in the topic Lewis has linked above: basically you'll need to register an account in the new store first, and then fill in the short Google form which will allow Lewis to transfer your old purchases to the new store.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick/Lewis,

OK Registered new account as per link filled in Google Form, was going to download the new installer but read that you should delete the existing a2a aircraft (Sklane & Comanche) where do /how do I uninstall, how do I find the right files, where should I look.

Any help much appreciated, I looked around but do not see an a2a file/folder

Charlie,

Typically you should be able to uninstall in the usual way using the Windows "Apps & Features" or "Add/remove programs" screen. After doing so, please manually remove the leftover "Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A" folder. (This is assuming you installed in the default location.)

It's also worth noting that the first batch of A2A installers for P3Dv4 didn't include an uninstaller, so if you downloaded the products very soon after the release of P3Dv4, it may just be a case of manually removing the above folder.

Thanks,
Nick
