Thanks for all the comments and make sure you get the separate spinner update listed above.

I had to laugh at this one too because I'm guessing that A2A put this in a particular place that fits between the stabilizers so that this would not intentionally happen lol well we painters usually find these kinds of things so nice try A2A lol you can't hide a whole lot from me though lol

Just dont paint that part folks and you'll have an animated polished spinner as intended. Again my spinner updates corrects my mistake.

Cheers!

Lovely repaint. To me, it's a little reminiscent of the old American Airlines paint scheme, with the polished metal and red/orange trailing edges. Very nice indeed.

Thanks,
Mike

I've never been one for the polished metal look - until now. This is beautiful, just gorgeous! Great job and thanks for sharing her!

Absolutely stunning!

And very clever Rego, incorporating the year and the model - love it!

I love this paint scheme! I'm really new to this repaint thing. I've downloaded the file and unzipped it. How do I apply it to my Comanche? Also, am I able to change the call name to N4307P so that it will be recognized by simulation ATC? Thanks again for offering this awesome paint scheme!

I assume you have it installed by now but if not then just put the texture.N59250 in your Comanche airplane folder (do not take any files out of this folder, leave the folder as it is)

Then open the INSTALL file and you'll see this text:

[fltsim.xx]
title=Piper Pa-24-250 Comanche N59250
sim=PA24_250
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=N59250
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=N59250
ui_manufacturer="A2A Piper"
ui_type="PA24-250 Comanche"
ui_variation="N59250"
ui_typerole="Single Engine Prop"
ui_createdby="A2A Simulations Inc."
Repaint_by=Alan W (AKA EightyFiftyFive)

COPY and PASTE this text above into your Aircraft.cfg file in your main Comanche folder right underneath the last repaint entry in your list (you'll see other entries in there just like this one) and then replace the xx at the top where it says [fltsim.xx] replace the xx with the next set of numbers in sequence in your listing of repaints. The xx number should be the highest number in your list but at the very bottom of the entire listing below the others So if you have 5 repaints already in your list then this number would be changed to [fltsim.6], if you have 12 repaints in your list then this number would then be [fltsim.13] and so on and so on but it needs to be at the bottom of all the others.

To change the ATC to read what number you want over the comms *I think* you would need to change the number where it says:
atc_id=N59350 to whatever number you want but only change the number itself. I'm not 100% sure on that though as I've never changed the ATC numbers before.

You can try it and see if it works or maybe try the UI_Variation=N59250 and see it that works but again I'm not sure on changing the numbers as I just don't mess with that stuff.

I love some of these new repaints. Can someone explain to me how to implement them. I'm kinda new to all this. Thanks!

Well at first you have to download your desired repaint. After that unzip the file. Usually you'll find a folder named texture.xxx and a txt-file usually called readme.txt. The texture folder needs to go into the Simobjects texture folder. Go to your flightsim root folder

--> Simobjects --> A2A Comanche --> texture

Copy the texture.xxx folder into this folder.

Then open the aircraft.cfg file with notepad and copy this section from the readme.txt

[fltsim.xx]
title=Piper Pa-24-250 Comanche N59250
sim=PA24_250
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=N59250
kb_checklist=
kb_reference=
atc_id=N59250
ui_manufacturer="A2A Piper"
ui_type="PA24-250 Comanche"
ui_variation="N59250"
ui_typerole="Single Engine Prop"
ui_createdby="A2A Simulations Inc."
Repaint_by=

Into the aircraft.cfg after the last entry that looks one the same. Then change the xx after flightsim to the next number in sequence.

Here's a YouTube video explaining it probably a lot better :wink:

Hope this helps. If you have any more questions just ask.
