Hi again...

Im continue working in the cokcpit.
The yoke is installed in the estructure. It has electric trim with the push buttons in the yoke. The yoke goes up and down slowly when you trim.
Not like a forcefeed back yoke, but it is ok



Now, Im working with the radio stack...
If you were me... which of the three posible options you would choose?
I have the material for make the three:

Looking good, and option wise I think any would be great. From a looks pov i like option 3 but understand that you might get better use out of option 1 or 2.

That is the problem. I like option 3 more because everything matches well and everything is real stuff.
But Im afraid I will miss gps in future..

First test.
Not finished yet! But I like it!







Im using switches to the on-off. I will look to rotary switches in future to make it like original. But it is good for now.

Now Im going to mod my turn coordinator gauge into a Stec30. I made a self desing autopilot. But Im using more and more "like real" or real stuff and I prefer to simulate the real Stec30.

There are few comments in the thread, but I like to post here because is a good place to see the building history.


I have finished the hardware of the Stec30. Im programming the functions. I send keyboard commands and the gauge makes things.
You can see the autopilot boot up lights sequence, and a out of trim warning. I have put a small buzzer to get "real buzzer sounds"
In a near future those commands will be send from the simulator.

I have been looking.... could this one be the first Stec30 autopilot (alike) in a home cockpit simulator?

So... finally Stec30 is finished

A quick vid with it...
Boot up sequence, modes, Alt Hold, trim alarm with a real buzzer. Operative circuit breaker..
All synchro with comanche stec30.

The "alt hold" and "disconnect" buttons will be in yoke in future.
Very happy with this instrument. I was afraid about making holes in a beautiful and working turn coordinator.
But this was a happy ending

Perhaps It is a little too soon, but Im thinking about the colour of the panel.
I was thinking about a more actual layout, with radio stack in the middle and throttle quadrant with levers. But I like the A2A green colour.
¿Do you know the real Ral code of that green?
