Sim Engine-out practice and (deadstick) landing - VIDEO

Post by SLKVP »

Practicing engine-out glide and landing in LGIR (Iraklion, Greece): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdZ8vTfX0ng

See comments for conditions and configuration info, and links to skip to Gear down or 1000ft above airfield.

Maybe, I shouldn't have side-slipped so much in final trying to get to a more 'proper' altitude, so I would have reached flare height in higher speed giving more time for wind correction during touchdown.

Hi,

Good video Sam, thanks for sharing! You made it in one piece and can use the aircraft again. :)

Looked good to me. The only other things I would have added if you're going for the full experience would have been to turn off the master switch and crack the door.
