Post by Vern »

airplanes are 250 and 182, in FSX I check the failures and radio and engine are checked, I uncheck them and proceed to fly. Interesting!!

No issues or flying problems, just check each startup of FSX. I do have the acceleration installed. Planes fly great and very pleased with them.

Hi Vern,

By default FSX doesn't allow for radios to be switched off, so 'failing' them in this way is used to accomplish this. You don't need to go into the failures menu and uncheck them though: just use the power knob on each nav/comm radio to switch it on.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick.
I could not understand his post at first , but what i think he is saying , is haveing to check the hangar for failures and walkaround checks prior to flight , which is the A2A way , which may be new to him , i dont think he has any issues as such.

Hi Alan,

I'm not 100% sure, but mention of the radios being ticked as failed makes me think the OP is referring to the default FSX failures menu. Anyway, as you say, doesn't seem there's a problem as such as this behaviour is by design. :)

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks Nick for clarifying the FSX default. Yes, this in the the FSX Failures. Yes, new at this so I do my preflight
walk around. There are no problems and always learning more from the other pilots and their experiences.
Thanks again.
