Oops, did something silly, I am running P3D 2.5 and in an attack of "REX textures" would be nice, I ran a texture theme from REX ,which promptly killed all my A2A cockpit sounds ARGH!! Default planes are ok
Any Ideas or is it a reinstall job?

Re: REX extreme and No cockpit sound
Pip,
Sounds like an odd one. Perhaps the first thing to check is that the volume control in the shift 3 menu hasn't been muted. The A2A sound effects should play via your default Windows audio device which may be different to the device you've assigned in the P3D sound settings.

Re: REX extreme and No cockpit sound
Hi Nick, I think you are right, the Rex texture install was a red herring!! I had changed the default sound device!! odd that only A2A cockpit sounds were affected but there you are.
Anyway I fixed the problem by buying P3D v 3.3 !!! and it all looks good so far Some times I just need a push!
Thanks

Re: REX extreme and No cockpit sound
Yeah, I understand the A2A cockpit sounds are more-or-less independent of the FSX sound engine and are played separately through the Accu-Sim module instead. Anyway, sounds like a good solution you hit upon!
