ChasePlane

Post by Puk »

Purchased ChasePlane from FSFX Packages today and spend a couple of hours playing with it.
Although I haven't mastered the program all together yet, it really looks amazing and, according to the picture below, reveals some hidden situations around the cabin of the Connie...
Looks like Betty needed some headsupport...

..... and gives you some esthonishing views.

Lol at Betty! Hey, good isn't it! I got it a couple of weeks ago and it's transformed my sim.
The freedom of movement with the smooth cameras is great.
Btw I discovered that if you want to watch yourself landing with the replay you can still move the camera!
What I do is bring up the Chaseplane UI once I've turned off the runway, go to presets and you should see the ICAO for the airport you're at in the right hand box, select the runway you landed at and the camera will be placed at the end of the runway.
I then select the default replay and the camera stays where it is, and you can pan and move it around freely and watch your landing from any angle even whilst moving it if you wish!
Ive got the camera movements set up on an Xbox 360 pad too so it's nice and easy to move about using the thumb sticks :)

One of the things I certainly will try out, John. Thanks. Although ChasePlane is still Alpha I experience a minimal number of errors and crahes. Looks great and is so easy to use.

Have you tried it with any A2A GA aircraft? This was always a problem with ezdok because the walk around camera messed with it

I only fly A2Asimulations aircraft. So far tried it out with the C182T and Connie.

It certainly looks a lot better this way, although I wonder why isn't she wearing an army uniform like the rest of the crew? :?

Chaseplane users might be interested in this, esp for the Accu-sim GA aircraft.

I got ChasePlane a few days ago and it has transformed my experience to a whole new level with all the planes I have tested so far. Only problem at moment is that CP instantly hangs when I load the Connie (all other A2A birds are fine). Loading another plane will fix it immediately. The sim is not affected itself although the mouse goes juddery until I shut CP down or load another aircraft. Will be posting this in the CP forums to see if there is a fix.

The Connie is EXACTLY the type of plane CP suits best so I hope I can get it working soon!

CP crashes whether using the stable or experimental versions makes no difference.
