Connie altimeter switching from inches to hpa

Post by kityatyi »

Hello all,

Is it possible to change the altimeter settings from inches to hpa please? Would be kind of essential for operating a European aircraft.

Thanks,
Zsolt

Hi

I use the tooltipps for setting hpa in the connie, that works great. If you want to be more realistic, you could use a conversion table.

So it is not possible to change the unit, only to use tools.

Thank you for your response!

Unfortunately not. In other A2A A/C the altimeter scale changes when using the "metric" function on the SHIFT-4 load and fuel panel. Seems that they have forgotten to inplement this function also on the Connie.

This is one of the reasons why I really like my Saitek Radio Panel. With SPAD it only takes a press of a button to switch from hekto pascals to inches, remember to say altimeter instead of QNH to a VATSIM controller is way more difficult.
You'd better find a conversion table and have it printed as a mouse pad :D
Kind Regards
Tomas
