Beacon light somehow causing shadows in cockpit to flash

Only way I could best describe this was to show it!
Just purchased and its a beaut apart from this strange shadow 'flashing' that disappears if I turn the beacon light off. Is this a known thing or is my sim conspiring to through another weird glitch at me?

Hello,

I'm away from home at present, so not able to try and reproduce this, but it may be worth just verifying which tick boxes are selected under "cast" shadows on the P3Dv4 lighting settings page. For example, please check that "particles" and "no shadow flagged content" aren't ticked.

Thanks for your help Nick! The culprit was that I had Sim Objects set to cast shadows and also the aircraft had to be just at the right angle to the sun. Have now disabled the sim objects casting shadows. Thanks for the fast response to my post. Much appreciated.
