I am flying the Bonanza without the tip tanks and I'm getting 178kts True does the true airspeed's in the book is that for the plane with tip tanks or without tip tanks?

It's very difficult to know if tip tanks have any affect on cruise performance. On my Comanche it's not measurable because while you have drag from the tanks, they reduce drag by cleaning up the wing tips, so we did the same for the Bonanza.
