Fuel Tank Quantity Inspection on Walk-Around

Post by haroldeh »

Not sure how to "gauge" the fuel quantity (if any) in the tanks during the walk-around. I get the pretty pop-up graphic but just not sure how to interpret. There's no stick to gauge the quantity.

Can someone explain, please?

It's visual. What you can do is open up the load manager at the same time and slowly fill a tank while watching it to get an idea of how the visuals work.

Aha! Unless you have 20 gals or more in the tank, there is no visible fuel. I guess that's due to the dihedral of the wings. In this case (20 gals or less) you just have to trust the fuel gauges?

Thanks, Scott.
