On the Bo's main fuel tank gauges there's a yellow arc running up to 13 gallons.
The manual states to not take off with a fuel level under this yellow arc's reach.
Question: why?
Is this a CG / W&B thing? Surely 13gal per tank is more than enough to fall above the minimum of unusable fuel of 4gal per tank?
I'm gonna test with it soon, but would like to know in advance too

Re: Bonanza yellow arc on fuel gauges
Hi.
Minimum fuel requirements on landing for VFR = 30min and IFR = 45 min taking 4gal unusable away from 13 gal only gives 9gal per tank on start up at low level the aircraft dependant on engine size uses approx 14 gal per hr which leaves 4 gals for the taxi / take off/ trip / landing.
regards alan.

Ok, thanks, so nothing on the CG, the ac becoming nose or tail heavy then, just calculation on endurance.
Ok thanks!
Ok thanks!

Actually, the issue has to do with the possibility that the fuel line will unport during takeoff, especially if you make a rolling turn onto the active.
