Utility Door warning light

New flight so new finding on this amazing plane 
There is a red warning light next to the alternator one. It illuminates when door is fully opened. Shouldn't it illuminate when door is closed but not secured? (handle in horizontal position) Just like in a vehicle - this would be more secure - but could also be that it switches on when door is opened slightly, but this may be doable in sim - if it is just a binary open/closed state.
