Hey,
This aircrafts engine noise isn't effected by the engine volume slider in Sound options. Is there a reason for that?
In the next patch, would it be possible to turn it down a bit? Even with the headset plugged in in the cockpit it's very
loud.

Add my name to the list of folks requesting this. Same problem here.
Re: Engine Noise
If I am understanding correctly I believe you are referring to the P3D/FSX sound settings? If so I think the engine sound is produced by accusim hence why the engine sound is not adjusted using the slider.

Re: Engine Noise
Hello guys,
Please use the volume slider in the Shift 3 'controls' 2-D panel if you wish to reduce the volume of the internal Accu-Sim sounds.
However, before you resort to this, have you tried the "headphones" option available from within the same 2-D panel?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Engine Noise
Oops missed that slider. It solved the problem.
Tried headphones, but they don't change the volume much, just reduce some of the high freq noise.
Thanks!

Re: Engine Noise
I didn't notice any change in low rumble, just for the record.
I'm perplexed by this whole audio thing. Lots of differences in opinion about cockpit sounds, exterior sounds, now even headphone sounds.
I wonder what accounts for it? Different people have different sounds cards, drivers, headsets/speakers -- is that what it is?

Re: Engine Noise
Sound cards, amps, etc. don't matter. Only two things matter, speakers and ears.

Re: Engine Noise
Headphones in Beech aircraft dosen't reduce the volume for me like any other A2A plane I own.
I can click all day with no cockpit volume change.

Re: Engine Noise
This also is apparent in my sim aswell. Usually the engine noise is cut almost in half, in say: the Comanche or PA-180. In the bonanza, it removes the high freq. wind rumble on the ground as well as in the air, but the engine sound is unaffected.

Re: Engine Noise
I'll bump this. Headphones don't do much. As lovely as this engine sounds, it is way too loud with headphones. At takeoff i can barely hear ATC. All my sound settings, both in P3D and in the V-tail are default.

Re: Engine Noise
Most of us have already, the default sound balance for the 35 is a bit off imho.

Re: Engine Noise
It's definitely not the overall sound level that's the problem. The engine sounds appropriately loud without headphones. Reducing the level so it sounds good with headphones will make it too quiet without them.

Re: Engine Noise
2c. Full volume in Shift+3 way too loud. Plugging in 'headphones' only seems to reduce wind noise. I've resigned myself to just reducing (a huge amount) the sound in shft+3.
Not sure what that means.Sound cards, amps, etc. don't matter. Only two things matter, speakers and ears.
