Aileron trim knob question...

Post by Chunk »

I have aileron trim mapped to a hat switch on my joystick and it refuses to work with the Bonanza. I have pitch trim mapped the same way and it works fine, but the aileron trim knob will not budge. Any ideas?

The Bonanza does not have aileron or rudder trim much to my annoyance, I feel your pain!

Even though it's not accurate I would love A2A to at least enable those trims due to user controller limitations within the sim.

Hi.
The aileron trim can be moved via the mouse wheel left/right and centered with left mouse button , mybe in an update it could be added to the bonanza input configurator.

Hello,

The aileron trimmer added with the latest update should indeed be included in the Bonanza Input Configurator, but I just checked and it seems I left this file out of the update installers for the FSX version. The next Bonanza update will include this, along with a few more fixes.

In the meantime, any FSX users who are keen to assign the aileron trimmer to a hardware control, can download the following file and place it in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\A2A\Bonanza35\Tools" folder, overwriting the existing file.

http://a2asimulations.com/nickm/Downloa ... urator.exe

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Nick

But am I correct in saying that it can only be mapped to an axis in the configuration tool, and not a button? That was the original question.

The Bonanza Input Configurator has aileron trimmer functions for both an axis and buttons/keyboard keys Chunk.

Thanks,
Nick

Copy that Nick, I’ll look as soon as I get home. I must’ve missed it when looking at the config tool. I’m on P3D v4.4, so the FSX issue hasn’t affected me.

Yep, that worked Nick. I looked right past the Aileron CW/CCW options. Thanks again!
