Hello friends.
Let me tell you, i love BOB, but my new rig it's...you know, windows 10 64, which has given me much suffering
I've read the entire tech support board trying to find so hope, i tried EVERYTHING. Nothing works to keep the game stable.
I've found that you can play version 2.00 fine. But updating to 2.12 or 2.13 its a mess with windows 10, which is a shame. Cause 2.13 is beautiful, but the freaking ALT x crash has no apparent solution.
Now the strangest thing happened.
I have an ATI radeon card, in a switchable graphics laptop. I deleted de BOB profile in catalyst, just out of spite , to see if the thing works with the INTEL HD integrated.
Now laugh at this, i can play de game as it is, but i CAN'T CHANGE ANY ADVANCED GFX OPTIONS , if i click gfx options, game crashes, but if i do nothing, i can play. Even from a saved game, with no ALT X crash.
I will tell you if this is really the case or if is just was a brief stroke of luck.
PLEASE, if there's any news on how to run BOB on windows 10 with a radeon GPU, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Nope, it still crashes, no matter what graphics card.

I don't have any answers, but just a few days ago I read
on some other forum, in reference to games not working
under newer versions of windows, can't remember where
or what games, but the guy mentioned a game which users
had discovered a work-around to get it to run, which was
to stop windows explorer (via task manager? - i don't know)
and then it would run fine. I don't really understand this; I'm
not sure how one would go about starting a program after
windows explorer was killed, but I thought it was just bizarre
enough to have a chance of working for us. I don't have any
(win8 or 10) of the OSs for which the sim doesn't run, so I
can't try it...

Have you tried running 2.04 or 2.07 under W10?
IIrc someone found out the way W10 or 8 treats Dx9 game memory is different than W7 or below. BOB 2.0 was not very stable but was good from 2.04 onwards, and didn't use much more ram.
It's worth a try.
