It may be worth a try to use the LAA utility: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=24940

This has cured some strange CTD's, and is easy to use. It can't hurt

I remember trying this solution before and not having any success with it. I'll try it again, though.

I am running Win 7 Pro 64bit, have 12gb ram, GTX 580.

I would like you to try the following EXE which we have been testing for months in our Beta Forum.

http://www.shockwaveproductions.com/bob ... 2.12-3.rar

Just download and unpack with RAR (a unpack tool that most sim'ers have) and paste the two files into your BOBII folder. You can copy the old files first to another location as backup.

This will ensure your are running exactly the same code as me.

Copied the files, but haven't had an opportunity to trial. Will do so at earliest opportunity and report back.

No crashes this evening after various instant action missions of varying intensity. From turkey shoot to black thursday aft. Runs pretty well actually.

One thing that still bugs me is that whenever a piece of my plane is shot off (rudder, aileron, etc), I lose complete control over the plane and the graphics go haywire unless I switch to an external view or bail out. This is something common?

I still have no idea what was causing your instability but it seems the news is good so far. No, it is not usual to loose control when shot and damaged.

It just depends on what is damaged. If an elevator or rudder is shot off you will crash and not be able to control the A/C. If it is a rudder you may "not" be able to bail out.
