Bottom line.
Does the 47 work fullly and well in FSX yes or no.
I own and love the 51 and 17.
But at $40 its a big gamble.
Ive read that some have done it and it works fantastic and some not at all.
Any information welcomed.

Check here.

However I think that you would be FAR better off to get the
Wings of Power II WWII Fighters package (Microsoft FSX compatable).
Why? well it comes with 5 fighters (P-51D Mustang,Spitfire Mk 1B,P-47D-20 Thunderbolt,Bf-109 E4 and a A6M5 Zero.
I purchased the retail box version for $29.99 in a gamestop software store.

Yes that makes alot of sense and I never understood the pricing.
Thats said, I already have the 51,109 and spitfire.
None of the local best buys or gamestops have any idea what wings of power are.
If its not for a console, the local game stops just look at you funny.
Thanks for the reply

Well the retail stores only carry titles for a certain amount of time.
Gamestop has this currently at their website.
Aircraft Powerpack II which comes with both Shockwave Productions
WOP II WW2 fighters and Air Battles: Sky Defender
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=647188

Air Battles:Sky Defender is a much simplified version of
Battle of Britain II Wings o Victory.

I noticed that the Aircraft Powerpack II mentions 6 planes in the
WOP WW2 fighters part of the package.Normally there are 5 in the package.I wonder if there is an extra surprise aircraft.
46th_terror thought that it included the new WOP II P-40 since it was featured on the retail box.

Scott just mentioned in this thread....

http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/v ... highlight=

...that there is a single AVG P.40 included but not the full set of variants in the P.40 package.

The answer is YES.
I have not flown the 47 in FS9 so I would not notice anything lost in moving it over to FSX.
I picked one out,no thumbnails, flew for a while and everything looked and worked well.
Actually great.
I have not spent any time or tried starting it up but all seems well.
If you follow the directions which are divided out in to 2 diffrent post, you will have no problems.
Thanks to all.
