FirePower has both the F and G models. If you are playing the campaign, the G model comes in at a later date. Below are some of the differences reflected.

Differences that are immediately noticeable:

Why are the nav instruments somewhat functional in the 17's panel?
The ILAS, the FG compass,, What are they doing? They are active as if they are receiving a signal, but,,, What? Was there an original intention to have them operate within the sim?
It would be nice to have this type of realism. The 2 nav compasses seem to be 'looking' at the same signal. But there is no sense to be made as to what they are looking at. In that ,-where they are looking,. There is nothing where they are looking. (Of signifigance as far as a part of the mission)

The single gun in the nose of the B17F was field added , the early B17Gs had the same tail gun area as the F model also the chin turret was put on the latter model B17Fs that were built by Douglas. B17 in action by squadron/signal publications has a lot of good info .

Wow! I see my dream has come true...a sim, where I can fly the Memphis Belle! I must buy it!
What's it like compared to Il2m or Bob2?
