Hi Guys, quick question:
Now that the P-40 and Mustang have been modeled such that engine start is performed with the mixture in Idle Cutoff, I was wondering if the A2A team has any plans to go back and update the B-17 to allow the engines to be started with the mixture first in idle cutoff with the ability to run off the primer (similar to the P-40) before moving the mixture to auto-rich? Doing this would add to the authenticity of the model and help bring it up to speed with the rest of the newer A2A products.

Thanks!

Sorry noforce, but you should RTM. Page number 24.
I'll sum it up co-pilot primes while the starter meshes, once the prop turns mags to both, and then when the fires mixture to auto rich.
But since FSX can't really handle that without the core accu-sim. Ya it wont really help.

Have a look at accusim manual page 115 ;)

Ya I know, but the OP is talking about how making it so you start the B-17 like you would in the real world. And if you tried to start a B-17 like page 115 you would have a really hard time. Like I said FSX can't handle the proper start sequence so we have the sequence from page 115. The P-47 is the same way, it should be started with mixture off too. And if the guys didn't do what they did with the P-40 it would have to be started with mixture auto rich instead of using the proper start sequence.
