After playing with the P3DV4 SDK, I tried my hand at "fixing" the Reno Air Race course in SimDirector. What I have come up with should be well suited for some T-6 and Unlimited Class races.
Confirmed working in P3DV4 and FSX:SE.
After the scenery config rebuilds itself, you should be able to load up a flight and have adequately sized pylons for the T-6, Unlimited, and Sport Class courses at Reno Stead (ICAO:4SD)
T-6 course is red/white/red barrels. Unlimited course is white barrels. Sport course is white/blue barrels.
Happy flying!

EDIT: V2 of this scenery released! Download link updated! README.txt included with new install instructions.
Bugs are fixed to the best of my knowledge.

I don't see why not. Do you have an "Add-on Scenery" folder in your FSX root directory?
Re: 4SD/ Reno Air Race Scenery with enlarged pylons
Very nice! I can see where we'll be meeting up this Sunday.

In that case, the scenery should/will work. Just follow the listed instructions.
I wouldn't call the scenery "good", it's more or less "functional" for some good fun on the weekends. I'm sure that if I really wanted to I could definitely improve the scenery. We'll see what feedback is given.
Reference race course map as well:

Some changes have been made:
Changed positioning of T-6 course pylons and scaled them down slightly.

Re: 4SD/ Reno Air Race Scenery with enlarged pylons
Works great and the FPS I’m getting there is incredible (70fps) because there is hardly any scenery surrounding it, just a few trees and desert. Makes for such a smooth flight.
I have global and vector but not NA LC. Wonder how much difference that makes in this area?
Flew the course in the spitfire, loads of fun but my god your roll rate is shocking at max speed! I don’t fly it that fast usually so forgot about the aileron problems at speed on the early marks. I had a sudden reminder when I needed to roll upright quickly!

Re: 4SD/ Reno Air Race Scenery with enlarged pylons
Wow, will have a look at this scenery, many thanks.
Do you have rough estimated times which will be flown in T6, P51, L49 (if they fly there), please?
How long do they need for one round?

Re: 4SD/ Reno Air Race Scenery with enlarged pylons
That I am unsure of, however I have been informed that the SAAB J-29 works well on the Unlimited course so I can only presume it will work well for jets.
Re: 4SD/ Reno Air Race Scenery with enlarged pylons
At a length of 8 miles, the Unlimited course should take a bit less than two minutes per lap. The T-6 course at 5 miles will be a touch over two minutes per lap. I don't have a schedule for particular events; in fact, I think this first session may develop into a free-for-all where people just get a chance to practice to practice flying low, going fast, and turning left. I'll be up there on JoinFS from 11am Pacific time - 1800 Zulu - for at least a couple of hours.
