Since we have people from all around the world here I thought we could share what we have on our iPod, MP3 player, CD player...

I'm really into the euro/goth/symphonic metal, so I'm loaded up with stuff like Epica, Nightwish, Battlelore, Tristania, After Forever/Revamp, Leaves' Eyes, Within Temptation, and Kamelot. But I still listen to stuff from when I was a wee child, ok 12... so Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Rage Against the Machine, Alice Cooper, and Smashing Pumpkins.

Many different things. Classic rock (Pink Floyd, King Crimson), extreme metal (I like Opeth - Swedish band that plays a mix of death metal with progressive rock, jazz, blues, very good), classic music, soundtracks, trip hop (man, I love Portishead and Björk). I like goth/symphonic metal too - Lacrimosa, early Theatre of Tragedy, Tristania. There is Polish band called Closterkeller - it's one of my favorite goth rock stuff. Highly recommended, but they sing in Polish mostly. I like to listen really underground neo folk/dark ambient music sometimes, but it's really extreme stuff.

Last few days I'm listening to Nick Cave only. This guy has a great voice.

Oh, and Eluveitie is awesome. :)

I like classic rock like Simon & Garfunkle, Don McLean's American Pie, Creedance Clearwater, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, and the occasional (out-of-place) Katy Perry.

I'm still on Frank Turner most of the time... Mrs. P is getting bored of him though, so I threw a little Paramore in for Miss P. to dance in her bouncer to and have just finished charging around a WoT map in an M10 Wolverine to Ride of the Valkyries.

I think there might have been Abba recently too. Can't get HP too addicted to MCR's Nananananananananananananana or whatever it's called.

I love country music especially when driving, but also listen to classic rock, alternative, big band and classical. I could listen to Tchaikovsky or Pink Floyd all day long! I can't stand anthing with auto-tune, it makes me want to break things!

Well, I'm up here in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on a holiday and fortunately
Mr. Hertz gave me what I call "Robo-Car"...a 2012 Ford Focus SEL with
Sirius XM satellite radio.

The first thing I did when I picked up the car 5 weeks ago was find
Channel 74, the Metropolitan Opera Channel.

After that, I added the other 2 classical music channels (75 & 76)

Since all the CBC music programmers seem to be tone-deaf, having the
XM radio has been a life-saver for me!

Lots of Dvorak, Mendelssohn, Puccini and the like.

At home, again it's classical music from around 1800 onward.
I'm not to keen on "early music" and detest the recorder!

In the evenings here in Cape Breton it is live fiddle music at
the local dances. That's what I have been coming up here
for since 1998. A chance to dance square sets with the locals
and do some step-dancing as well.
