Hi everyone,

I am planning to do an atlantic crossing anytime soon, and am starting planning the thing.

I plan to navigate it the old way, using NDBs, DR, and celestial fixes.
So, I am searching for a copy of the GNC-3 (North Atlantic) Global Navigation Chart, to help me plot my course and my astro fixes while flying. However it does not seem to be available anywhere online - only buyable on paper format.

Does anyone know where I could find a copy in electronic format of the GNC-3? Even a completely outdated one will be perfect. I don't know who publish them, and if it is legal to exchange electronic versions for free... If it is not - I am sorry, you may disregard my demand!

By the way, what't the best projection to use to plot celestial LOPs? Mercator I guess? The Lambert conformal conic projection seem to be the most used for aeronautical charts, but it might not be the best one...

Thanks!

Thomas
