So was watching the Scott's P-51 videos for the umteen millionth time when I saw this jewel off to the side in the suggested videos section. Certaintly interesting the way he talks about the P-51 quirks, and is a lot of things normally we would not have to think about the Accu-sim makes possible.
Something I never knew that he talks about is the way fuel flows through the carb on the bird. He mentions that he sets it to take fuel from the left tank, because it will flow excess fuel (sometimes up to 10LB worth) through the carb into the left tank. If the tank is full however he mentions that it starts going out through an over flow valve, and that you may be losing fuel without you knowing it! Can only hope stuff like that made it into the final cut.
Another thing he mentioned (don't think they would have programmed it into Accu-sim, but never know) is about the gear selector valve being touchy. If you don't put it all the way up/down you can get the gear raising up into the bottom of those closed inner doors. Then you have to use that hydraulic release valve Scott showed us awhile back to drop the gear/doors and hopefully it re-synchronises itself. Either way is a cool set for those that have not seen it. It kept me captive for the last 40 or so minutes.
