P-51 Video... Must See

Post by GT182 »

You have to see this... even if for the sound only. It's amazing so crank it up. This is in Quicktime format, so be warned.

And Scott... these are both 2-seaters.

Enjoy....... http://www.earthflix.com/stories/p51.php

Wow thanks for the link. It's a good quality video and it reminds me a LOT of the last time I went with my father when he was alive to an airshow(in 2003).There was a P-51 there and it buzzed the field.
I am going to take my mother to see the B-17 from the Collings foundation at the Tacoma-Narrows airport on June 29 2006 because it will be the last chance to see it near our town. The airport is closing because of financial difficulties($3,000,000 in the red).

JJ, tell Jim Harvey and the guys with "Witchcraft" I said hi and I'll see them in Massena, NY August 19th. If he's there, make sure you say hi to Bob Orabona too, he's their "Rag Boy" second class. LOL He'll know what I mean and will tell you all about it too.

They were here last August, but 909 didn't make it because of an engine replacement in Syracuse NY. Looking forward to seeing them all this year. It'll be our last time we see them for a couple of years.

I'll be sure to remember that and will try to talk to them.
Yes the B-24 will be there as well.
I could take my mother to the airshows in Seattle but the traffic is really congested. It's sad losing another airport. We had an airport close one mile outside of Fircrest about 25 years ago but the biggest loss was the Korean war F-86 Sabre which used to be in the town park in Fircrest WA.

Thanks excellent video find GT.One thing I noticed about Part 3 of the video is that I remember my father telling me that Harry Mitten his ball turret gunner would come out of the ball turret when they were nearing the target so he wouldn't become injured due to the intense 88mm FLAK battery barrage.
