they have confirmed to me that they do not plan on simming a DC-4 any time in the near future. I will pass the bubble bursting honor now to you.LZ-WIL wrote:Happy Holidays,
I think A2A's next COTS will be Douglas DC-4 and C-54 Skymaster in one release. On the other product line, I think the jet generation will be born...

A big bell, indeed. Not sure if that's meant as a compliment or an insult

I have to say that so far I've not seen anyone here on the forums posting any suggestion for what we should produce next and until we actually see a post like that I'm afraid it will have to be a surprise as always.

Myy humble estimate is
Bonanza V33, would be a good option a little faster to the Comanche 250 and use tip tanks, that my favorite plane is the DC3 / C47 I dream of the day when A2A makes it
Thank you and have a Merry Christmas

I will gladly fly my Comanche up to 500NM to pickup a V35 Bonanza
Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017
Well, since it's Christmas and we can dream, my choices would be: L-10 Electra; Beech 18; or a DC-3.
Merry Christmas everyone

Anything with floats is nice.

Dudley: Were those TF-30s in a F-111 Aardvark?
I remember that the CO (Scott) had posted something in an earlier thread about tip tanks and three engine variants. I'm still hoping for a Cessna 310, but maybe he's talking about the Lockheed F-90!
.
The XF-90 had two J-34s, with 6,200 lb thrust each. Maybe one of the engine variants could be a single J-79 (16,000+ lb thrust), like in the F-90B. We could form our own Blackhawk Squadron on multiplayer!

Hey - Merry Christmas, Hanukah, Festivus, whatever, etc.

The good news is that it is now officially 2018. A new accusim plane can be released any day now.

That's true, except, of course for Realair. the B60 v2 is hard to beat.bobsk8 wrote:A2A is the gold standard. Everything else is a distant 2nd.

Yes, the engines used in the A F14's came out of the F111 program. In the Tomcat they had issues in the military power ranges.Paughco wrote:

Later engines solved these issues.

Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017
It'd be amazing if the new opportunity is that X-Plane will team up with A2A. XP11 is looking very nice, for me all it lacks is A2A aircraft....
Just my wishful thinking, though.
