Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anybody has/had an issue with FSFX's Chaseplane lately.
Several days ago, when I fired up FSX I the following message popped up when Chaseplane started,
"It looks like something unexpected occurred. A log file will be sent to FSFX Packages automatically."
I clicked OK and then it asked if I wanted to restart so I clicked Yes, but after Chaseplane restarts the same message pops up again.
This message appears when trying both, FSX and P3D.
(Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but I updated P3D to v4.2. I don't see why the update to v4.2 would cause a problem with FSX.)
I sent the log file to Chaseplane's support last Thursday, but still haven't heard back from them so I thought I would post this here in case someone here may have experienced the same problem.

Re: Anybody having an issue with Chaseplane
I think I had this. Try opening VFX Central first and then Chaseplane.

All the Accusim-planes are in my hangar, but they aren't sitting long enough for their engines to cool much before next flight!

Hey, Medtner
Just tried your suggestion, it still didn't work.
Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Try checking the experimental build. I had some funky stuff going on after updating to 4.2 and using experimental build fixed it. Obviously they are aware of some changes.geopetlas wrote:Hi Guys,

Re: Anybody having an issue with Chaseplane
Holy smokes, guys. My problem was of my own making.
It has been resolved by Keven at FSFX.
Here's what happened:
After upgrading to P3Dv4.2 I followed Nick M's advice ( http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 23&t=63073 )
This is how/what I did:
PATH=G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A //PATH=G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\ - ORIGINAL LINE
It appears that ChasePlane did not like the commented section I made.
My Bad. I should have made a copy of the cfg file and then modify the line. Without a commented section.
My apologies to all for the trouble I caused.

Re: Anybody having an issue with Chaseplane
Hi all !
I'm suddenly (last few days) having problems with ChasePlane automatically starting when I start P3dv4.
When it fails, I have to open Task Manager, Find the ChasePlane process, end it, and then start ChasePlane manually by clicking on it's desktop icon.
There are no error messages.
Anyone else having this problem? Would it be safe to uninstall it and reinstall it without getting the "to many installs" message on my computer.
Cheers, CryptoNews
