Advice sought for getting g sync monitor for P3d v4

Post by Gabe777 »

Cannot find threads here..... search just brings up vert sync !

Want to smooth my experience between 30 and 60 fps.

Current settings give me 30 to 180 depending on aircraft and situation.

What type do I need..... does it need to lockable to 60 fps (do not need or want more) ?

120 or 144 hz ?

How do I set up sim vert sync, TB fps limit, and what is done in nVidia inspector ?

Thnx for any advice.

P.S. Only after help with hardware aspects, not how to run at 30....... hate 30 and get at least 60 most of time, just want to avoid stutters and tearing when it does drop into the 50s and 40s.
i7 7700k (4.5 GHz) / GTX 1080 8GB - Gigabyte Windforce OC 3X / 32GB DDR4 2400 Hz (CL15) / Samsung EVO 970 plus M.2 nvme (1TB) / BeQuiet 650W PSU 50amps 12v rail -- (with P3Dv4, AS + ASCA / REX Texture Direct)

I have a Dell S2716DGR that has GSync and it works real nice with no tearing and stuff. I dont bother limiting fps with it even. I'm not a techie, though, Dad picked it for me. It was kinda spendy, but having it work so nice and no problems I think it's worth it.
