A2A crashes

I use P3D4.3
I had some issues in one Orbyx region and disabling the CMeteo xml.dll files(I had 3) allowed flying(info from Jim Young Avsim)
Now in another Orbyx area loading my A2A planes closes the sim
All other planes I have (Carenado Milviz etc) are ok and A2A planes fly ok in other Orbyx areas
Seems a specific problem
Anything I could try-reinstall?

Hello,

Please can you let us know which aircraft loads as part of your default scenario in P3D?

If you've modified the default flight to use a complex add-on aircraft (and perhaps complex add-on scenery too) this will tend to increase the chances of problems arising.

Okay, thanks.

It does sound like a rather unusual and specific issue.

A couple of thing you could try:

1. Load the F-22 so that it's on the runway at your problem scenery and then after a few moments switch to the A2A product.
2. Try refreshing your shader cache. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

Also, please can you let us know if you're using the new A2A installers? (Currently v18.4.22.0 if you check in the Windows "apps & features" or "uninstall or change a program" window.

I)Tried this-A2A plane loads -freezes -then closes the sim
2 )Shader cache refreshed after v4.3 install as per Poppets advice
3) Re installer version File version is 18.3.30.0 for Connie in Apps and Features
N/a for Cherokee,Commanche and C172-Apps and Features says unavailable under plane designation therefore not being seen by Win 10 and P3Dv 4.3 ?
Need to uninstall and download up to date versions?
Did try this with Commanche and C172 from Flightsimstore-no go

Thanks for the extra info. Unfortunately the FlightSim Store doesn't seem to be updating customers' purchases. If you can send a PM to "Lewis - A2A" with details of your FSS purchases, he should be able to sort you out.

Getting hold of the latest installers is a useful troubleshooting step, and once you have the latest versions for all your A2A products. I'd recommend a clean reinstall of your whole A2A fleet.

Connie seems to install as per your new format-checks for updates at installation etc
Still closes the sim as soon as loaded

It would seem that Just Flight is using the current A2A format
I still have the same problems with the Connie
Very odd-N America fine but Europe and S America no go
More work on those xml.dll files?

Yes, once you've got a clean install of your A2A products in P3Dv4 we can troubleshoot more systematically.

You mention an issue with CMeteoXml.dll. If the clean A2A reinstall doesn't work, I'd suggest uninstalling whichever Carenado products install this module and see if this resolves the situation.

This sounds like a rather complex interaction between several different add-ons.

I agree with your diagnosis
Original problem was:-
I could not fly in the southern regions of Orbyx S America with any plane-sim closed as I flew south
On Jim Young’s advice (Avsim) I disabled the 3 x CMeteo xml.dll files in my P3Dv4.3
I can now fly SAmerica and Europe with all but A2A planes
However I can fly in N America with all planes including A2A planes
Very mysterious
Await Lewis,s post and will contact you again after reinstall of remaining A2A planes
However Connie,s behaviour shows original problem still there

Thanks to Lewis-my A2A fleet now updated and downloaded
My problem still remains however
Turning 2 P3D xml.dlls and 2 exe.dlls off as per Avsim CTD guide does not help
If I get time will try your idea re Carenado and CMeteo xml.dllinstall
Meanwhile can fly A2A in N America so not all is lost

Done some more flights with updated A2A planes
N America OK-everything works
Europe and S America no go for my A2A planes-all other planes-Carenado,Milviz,ExtremePrototypes etc are OK
Intriguing because I have many more Scenery Add ons in N America-RTMM etc
Not enough of a problem to do a total P3Dv4.3 reinstall at the moment
Should only fly N American planes in NA!

Okay, thanks you for the update xxd.

Just curious as to what GPS configuration you have enabled in the A2A aircraft?

Perhaps you could try setting the GPS to 'default' in the Aircraft Configurator, loading the aircraft in North America, and then selecting the "no GPS" option (in the Shift 3 window). After doing this, try to reload the aircraft an airfield in Europe and see if there's any change in behaviour.

I fly with GTN 750 (and 650 if possible) in my A2Aplanes
I tried setting up in NA with no GPS as you instructed (C- 172)
Then selected a European airport and after a S American airport-plane loads -freezes-P3D closes
Tried with all Scenery off ,unticked everything even OrbyxLibs.
Still no joy
I normally fly GTN 750,650 (and WX if available ie Milviz) in all my planes
The CMeteo files(3) in my case-was interesting because no planes could fly in southern S America at all till they were disabled
Now only A2A planes do not fly
Why one region is OK and the others are not is odd
