I have lost my mother this morning

Post by JJB17463rdBombGroup »

My mother who was a Rosie the riveter riveting the Dorsal fins on B-17's and B-29's in a subcontractor plant and a mother to 4 children has sadly passed away at the age 92 December 2 2018 at 8:45 a.m. P.S.T.
In a ways it's not so sad as she has had a long and good life and passed away peacefully.
She lived 6 years longer than her mother or my other grandmother.
I saw my mother in a nursing home 2 days ago and when I told her that I loved her she recognized me and smiled.
Yesterday I went there and her eyes only partially opened and I wasn't sure if she recognized me or was in a semi conscious state.
I had been told by my brother Jeff that my mother was in the end stages of her life.
I was going to visit her today but just as I left the house to go see her I was informed she passed away.
I went there anyway to see mom's body and my sister and niece were there and they hugged me.
I am all right everyone the sadness will be there for a while though.
Son of a U.S.A.A.F. 15th Air Force 463rd bomb group 772nd squadron B17 pilot.

Sorry to hear of your mothers passing. It has been 7 years now since my father passed and I still think of him and the great things that we did together. It gets a little better every day.

Keep smiling
Tug :)

Sorry for your loss. Honored that you would share this with fellow simmers on the day of her passing. Sounds like she lived a long great life and it’s neat to hear she worked on bombers during WWII. I lost my mother five years ago and father eighteen years ago. They are always gone too soon regardless of age. God bless you!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel the pain. I lost my mother just before Mother's Day this year. I still have bad days, but most days I get by. It does get better. It helps to have a family nearby to help you through it.
Well, Back to Flying,
Monica

I am very sorry to hear about your loss.

I have just tried to think of some kind words of comfort, and they just are not coming, I can only say what I already have. I do hope comfort for you though.
