Shutting down the aircraft

Post by Hook »

I just discovered something great.

I had completed a flight in the Cherokee and was shutting down. The checklist got to the control lock. I looked around, didn't see anything in the cockpit so I clicked on the passenger seatbelt. Yup, that was it.

Then I needed to set the chocks, tie-downs and pitot cover. I opened the dialog to do this and suddenly realized I could do it the same way I did the control lock. I went through the walk around and did each of these in turn. I'd never thought of doing that before.

You guys are so cool! :D

For the C172, is there a way to set the control lock other than through the SHIFT+3 menu? When I click on the control lock lying in the pocket nothing happens.

Hi ilya1502.
On the c172/c182 you need to push the yoke fully in to engage the control locks in the pocket.

Thanks, Alan! This is what happens when you think of A2A models as of a program, not an aircraft

Yes, need to get the yoke forward so the holes align for the lock to fit in place.

cheers,
